Try to remember that "losing 15 pounds in two weeks" is nothing to celebrate. It is important to realize that the more quickly weight is lost, the more likely the loss is coming from water and muscle, not fat.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;Since muscle tissue is critical in keeping our metabolism elevated, losing it actually leads to a decrease in the amount of calories we can each day without gaining weight.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;Fat loss is best achieved when weight is lost slowly. Strive for a weight loss of no more than 3-4 pounds per week. One pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;2. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Set Reachable Goals.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;For instance, if you know you need to get more exercise, begin with a manageable goal of, say, walking 10 minutes a day that you know you can achieve. Change your mindset to think about selecting foods that will help your body's health rather than worrying about foods that will affect your body's weight. The Food Pyramid offers a basic outline of the types and amounts of food you should eat each day to give your body the nutrients it needs for optimal health.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;5. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Fat Free?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;We've known for some time that limiting high fat foods in the diet can be helpful with weight loss. That's because fats pack in 9 calories per gram compared to only 4 calories per gram from proteins or carbohydrates. To many, the message to limit fats implied an endorsement to eat unlimited amounts of fat-free products. Just to clarify, fat-free foods have calories too. In some cases fat-free foods have as many calories as their fat laden counterparts. If you eat more calories than your body uses, you will gain weight. Eating less fat will help you to lose weight. Eating less fat and replacing it with excessive amounts of fat-free products will not.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;6. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Drink plenty of water.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;'Drink eight glasses a day. Be mindful of the amounts of food you consume at a sitting. When necessary, divide your food in half and ask for a take home bag. It is all too easy to be a "plate cleaner" even when served enormous portions. Learn to pay attention to your hunger level and stop eating when you feel comfortably full, not stuffed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;10. &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Eat your food slowly.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Verdana;font-size:85%;"  &gt;Did you ever notice that thin people take an awfully long time to eat their food? Eating slowly is one method that can help take off pounds. That's because from the time you begin eating it takes the brain 20 minutes to start signaling feelings of fullness. Fast eaters often eat beyond their true level of fullness before the 20 minute signal has had a chance to set in. The amount of calories consumed before you begin to feel full can vary significantly depending on how quickly you eat. I did so well with it I am considering going back. I lost 40 pounds in about 6 months.. I felt great about myself and loved the way I looked.. I weighed 173 pounds when I decided that I looked good enough... how stupid was that? My goal was to weigh 140 pounds... didn't make it.. I seriously think that I was &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;sabotaging&lt;/span&gt; myself.. why? I have no idea? I hate being fat, I hate feeling fat, so why can't I bite the bullet and lose it? I don't know... Ultimate Applicator?? lose inches in 45 minutes?? Right!</title><content type='html'>Well.. been there done that.. time to move on from the jenny &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;craig's&lt;/span&gt;, the soup diets, the fitness &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;gizmos&lt;/span&gt;.. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;lol&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am now testing out this thing called an &lt;a href="http://34466.itworks.net/cart/Detail.aspx?pid=968h6I65g873DI5"&gt;Ultimate Applicator&lt;/a&gt;... It's made by a company based in the US called It Works! Marketing.. it's just new to Canada in Jan 2009..  I wanted to try it out for myself.. It claims that one can lose inches in 45 minutes! WOW!! I can buy into that.. it's "that" quick fix thinking that got me hooked! Yes I joined, Yes, I am a distributor.. I've been trying to promote it but the "lose inches in 45 minutes" isn't grabbing &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;any ones&lt;/span&gt; attention..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am thinking that everyone is waiting for me to try it.. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;luckily&lt;/span&gt; my shipment arrived yesterday. YIPPEE!! I opened the box and checked out all my goodies.. I was quite excited.. I really wanted to try out the applicator but I was told to use it right after I take a shower.. so I waited..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This morning I woke up early. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;lol&lt;/span&gt;. Worked out and took a shower.. got everything ready. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;Scissors&lt;/span&gt;, cling wrap, the ultimate applicator. I opened the package.. I tell you what a wonderful smell... I put it on my belly.. wrapped myself in saran wrap. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7"&gt;lol&lt;/span&gt; Yes, that was fun. And waited the 45 minutes......&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During the 45 minutes I felt a tingling sensation.. kinda like a slight burning.. but it didn't hurt.. I went on with my daily duties.. made my girls their lunches for school... got breakfast on the table (Cheerios if you are wondering) and waited...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ding Ding Ding... times up.. I cut away the wrap and pulled off the ultimate applicator.. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8"&gt;mmmmmm&lt;/span&gt;... love that smell....... I rubbed in the lotion and checked my measurements right away...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;nothing.. exactly the same... I waited for about 10 minutes or so while the lotion continued to do it's thing.. (tingling and slight burning) and checked it again....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9"&gt;OMG&lt;/span&gt;! &lt;/span&gt;I lost an inch and a half. (two fingers below my belly button) **EEK** How is that possible? Did having the lotion covered with saran wrap then have it open in the air have something to do with it? WOW! You would think that with the many years of experience &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;being&lt;/span&gt; a member of my own diet and weight loss war. I would be an expert. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;lol&lt;/span&gt;. I know nothing.. Everything I have tried be it weight watchers, jenny &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;craig&lt;/span&gt;, soup diet, crash dieting.. pills.. or the many of weight loss and fitness &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;gizmos&lt;/span&gt; and tapes that I purchased you would think I would know something or have success. Nope.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last year I joined herbal magic. I do admit that it does work. I successfully lost 40 pounds. But I when I quit for the second time (due to the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;disappointment&lt;/span&gt; when I didn't lose any longer - "cheating = feeling deprived") I started to gain it back pretty quickly. 10 pounds quickly.
